What is the source of most of the salt in the oceans?.

"Dear class, it's important to understand that the majority of ocean salt originates from terrestrial rocks and fissures on the seafloor. Specifically, there are two main sources of salt in the ocean: the runoff from the land and the openings in the seafloor. The primary source of salts dissolved in seawater stems from rocks situated on land. When rainwater falls on the land, it's slightly acidic and therefore erodes the rocks, releasing the salt into the ocean."
